Happy Anniversary!

Preston and I just celebrated our third anniversary on January 7th. Can you believe it? We have been married for three years now. We are both set in our careers (we think) and I am a year away from graduating with my Bachelor's Degree in Technical Sales. We have no kids, yet. Next month we will move into our new home, and I am getting a puppy the very day we are settled. We have a really great life. We are poor, and we eat Macaroni and Cheese most of the time. I couldn't ask for more, except I would really like to go on a cruise like, next week. I can still dream, right? Anyway, I love him more than ever, and I can't imagine my life without him. I don't know how I found him so fast, but I did! I know that we have been blessed with each other!

Our House is Coming Along...

As some of you know, Preston and I purchased a new home in July of last year. I have a very ambitious and talented husband when it comes to building, so we gutted all but two bedrooms. We pulled all of the old wiring out and replaced it. We also pulled all of the plumbing out and replaced it. We rebuilt the basement and the kitchen. We are nearly finished. Now we just have to hang the sheetrock, put the kitchen cabinets back together, lay carpet in the basement, and install the kitchen and bathroom floors, and paint. We have one month to finish up so we can move in and not be homeless. Can we do it? Of course, as much as there is, this is actually all really easy to do compared to the stuff we have been doing. I can hardly wait. I am so excited to have all of my own things again. I'll post pictures in a month and show everyone that it can be done!
The pictures are of my basement a month and half ago. Now it is ready to be sheet rocked! A lot has happened in a short amount of time. The breaker box picture is the new breaker box. Preston pulled out everything including the old power and breaker box. He installed it all new in the basement, so now it meets code. Totally awesome! The holes in the cement were done with a jack hammer. We had to cut in more plumming and that was the way to do it!

Skiing with the Family @ Snow Basin

New Years Eve was a blast! Part of my family and I went skiing up at Snow Basin. It was a total powder day, so we had so much fun. We went fast, and we crashed a lot. It didn't hurt though, because the powder was so deep. No matter what I always freeze, I wish I knew how to keep my body warmer so I could ski all day long without needing a break at the lodge. Anyway, we had a great day!
